Individual Therapy

As therapists, we work with both youth and adults who are navigating the impacts of trauma, oppression, grief, loss, loneliness, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship/communication challenges. We also are eager to work with individuals in the helping fields who may be experiencing burn-out, compassion fatigue or vicarious trauma connected to navigating capitalist, colonialist systems. Relationship Therapy

As Relationship Therapists, we work with intimate partners who are navigating challenges associated with balancing their needs for interdependence and connection with their needs for individuality and differentiation. We find that tension between these needs often manifests as relationship conflict and disconnection. We are eager to work with intimate relationships of any configuration (non-monogamous, monogamous, coparenting, separating, etc). Our approach to relationship therapy focuses on cultivating a compassionate understanding of the hidden forces shaping relational dynamics, from childhood imprints to cultural expectations. Through psychodynamic exploration, we strive to help relationship partners release what no longer serves them, fostering deeper connection, mutual growth, and a relationship that honors both love and liberation. Please contact marika@love-liberates.org to inquire about relationship therapy.

Consulting

As consultants we work with groups (institutions and organizations) who wish to collectively explore and commit to practices (policies, procedures) and behaviors (communication, decision-making, etc.) that support and enable a deeper understanding of, and capacity to create, more just and liberated cultures. We offer workshop or retreat facilitation, curriculum and retreat design, and leadership coaching. Some of our past clients have included - youth serving organizations working to create more liberatory environments; schools working to create safer environments for transgender students, philanthropic groups working to more equitably and sustainable distribute resources and partner with grantees, LGBTQ+ advocacy organizations working to support those individuals and communities most impacted by structural oppression. Please contact avi@love-liberates.org to inquire about current consulting parntnership opportunities.
